All eyes will be on Orlando Pirates in the Betway Premiership this weekend as they target maximum points against Orbit College in Mbombela on Saturday, with the league title still up for grabs.
Pirates could have effectively been crowned the new Betway Premiership winners with a game to spare but delayed celebrations following a 0-0 draw with Durban City at the Orlando Amstel Arena last Saturday.
As it stands, second-placed Pirates are two points behind Mamelodi Sundowns heading into their final league match of the season and need a victory against Orbit to claim the trophy. Overall, Pirates have been inconsistent lately, recording three wins and two draws in their last five league ties.
Orbit College will be hoping to avoid relegation this season as they occupy 15th position with one game left to play. Following a 2-0 loss against Stellenbosch FC last time out, Orbit now find themselves level on points (24) with 14th positioned Marumo Gallants and one point behind 13th placed Chipp United.
In addition to the relegation battle, Orbit are only three points ahead of last-placed Magesi, who will likewise put up one last fight for survival.

Speaking after Pirates’ recent draw with Durban City, Abdeslam Ouaddou expressed that he anticipated a late league title showdown but reiterated that his side are clear of their season target.
“Of course we wanted to offer the three points [against City] but I want to be clear it was not for the title,” Ouaddou said.
“A lot of people were celebrating before and getting the champagne out before the end. We were clear of our target, to take three points in front of our own fans, but it didn’t happen.
“But if you remember since the start of the season I have been saying the title may be decided in the last game. And we are in it [the title race].
